Ariane Barker has a background in international investment banking and as an Australian migrant with over a decade working in Asia, brings a diversity of insight and perspective to strategic decision-making. Ariane began her career as an analyst with Merrill Lynch in New York. She subsequently worked in the United States, Europe, Japan and Australasia in senior executive and leadership roles with Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and JBWere. Ariane was awarded an AICD board diversity scholarship in 2011, identified as one of seventy high potential board-ready women.
Ariane has 20 years’ experience in blue chip financial services companies in senior executive management roles, having worked until recently with JBWere at National Australia Bank in Melbourne, and prior to that in capital market roles with HSBC, Goldman Sachs Group and Merrill Lynch, in Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York and London.

Ariane was awarded an AICD board diversity scholarship in 2011 and has keen interest in Education, Healthcare and the Arts, thus her roles with NFPs including: The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), The Royal Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH) and the National Gallery of Victoria Womens Association (NGVWA).
