Ms Tamara Mills, MBA, MHEcon, BSc, GAICD
Ms Tamara Mills is Managing Director of Quantum Medical Innovation Fund (QMIF), a high calibre medical technology investment fund facilitating strategic investments in the equity and equity-linked securities of early-stage companies involved in the development of breakthrough medical technologies in the cardiovascular, respiratory and chronic disease space.
Tamara Mills previously directed Jubilant Life-sciences portfolio of pipeline assets and has extensive experience in the development and commercialization of medical technologies across Australia, United States, Japan, Brazil and Europe, having held executive roles within both publicly listed and private company’s. Prior to returning to Australia Tamara held the position as Director of Cardiovascular Business for Jubilant Life Sciences, where she successfully built the cardiovascular business from the ground up and led the development of multiple medical technology products from concept through to FDA approval and commercialization.
Tamara Mills has founded a range of medical technology businesses in Australia and North America and has had a broad range of experiences and exposures to accelerators, boot camps and incubator programs across Australia and North America having founded and facilitated Fundamedtech, Canadas first complex Medtech Incubator, and mentored/coached in programs including CSIRO biomedical launchpad, McGill-X1, Hacking Health and MIT Entrepreneurship Bootcamps. Tamara is currently working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Innovation and entrepreneurship faculty, coaching budding entrepreneurs and start-ups predominantly within the life-sciences sector.
Tamara Mills has held several board positions in the health technology sector and she is active in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic technology development, most recently held the position of Chair of the Health Policy, Regulatory and Reimbursement committee for the North American Industry organization CORAR in addition to holding a key leadership role for the Medical Imaging Technology Alliance. Tamara has a Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics and a Degree in Applied Nuclear Physics.
